ESU ECoS 50220 Command Station – Powerful, Versatile, and User-Friendly

The ESU ECoS 50220 is the second generation of ESU’s highly successful ECoS command station. Combining cutting-edge digital technology with intuitive controls, a clear touchscreen interface, and outstanding versatility, the ECoS offers an exceptional balance of performance and value.

With its large, high-resolution colour display, easy-to-use interface, and robust functionality, the ECoS sets the standard for modern digital command stations. Unlike many alternatives, it can be comfortably operated without a stylus, thanks to its large, clearly marked symbols and menus. Two integrated driving cabs, each with a motor-driven throttle knob and nine function keys, make operating your locomotives straightforward and enjoyable.


Key Features

Multi-Protocol Compatibility

  • Supports DCC, Märklin® Motorola®, Selectrix® and M4 data protocols.

  • Full compatibility with mfx® decoders via M4.

  • Run almost any existing decoder with ease – ECoS unifies four major data protocols in one command station.

Locomotive Control

  • Two integrated cabs with large throttle knobs and nine function keys (with LED indicators).

  • Control up to 31 functions per locomotive via the touchscreen interface.

Accessory & Route Control

  • Operate up to 1,420 turnouts and magnetic accessories (DCC or Motorola®).

  • Graphical route control allows you to group and operate turnouts together.

  • Automatic route activation via feedback contacts or keys, with support for s88 occupancy detectors and ECoSDetector modules.

Shuttle Operation

  • Automated shuttle train control – simply install a rail contact at each end of your track and let the ECoS handle the rest.

Integrated Power & Booster

  • Built-in booster provides ample power for most layouts – often eliminating the need for additional boosters.

  • Ideal for large-scale applications such as Gauge 1 and G layouts.
